CYCLE FOR ACTION MEDICAL RESEARCH

In September staff at The Medicine Bar, Shoreditch Andres Flatt, Matt Pook, Louisa Calcinotto and Hayley Pearce will take part in the 'Race The Sun' programme. This consists of a 20 mile cycle, a hike up and down Hellvelyn (the second highest peak in England), a 5 mile cycle, canoe 2.5 mile across lake Thirlmere and a 20 mile cycle to the finish. All within the hours of daylight (12 hours).

The purpose of the race is to raise money for Action Medical Research (www.action.org.uk), which provides research into areas from alternatives to antibiotics to speech therapy, and ultra sounding in pregnancy to spinal injuries. Their target is to raise at least £1800 for the charity.
